Welcome to Bonar Hall, an ideal venue for weddings, social events, concerts and much more... the ideal venue for weddings, social events, concerts and much more...

Bonar Hall was built in 1977 to serve the University of Dundee and the people of Dundee and district.

The Hall was named after Sir Herbert Bonar, a member of a well known Jute manufacturing family in Scotland, who provided the funding for the building. Sir Herbert was keen that the Hall should be a benefit to the local people as well as the University, and in this his wishes have been fulfilled.

Bonar Hall is a very popular venue for all kinds of social events, formal or informal. It was purposely built to be flexible, so that a wide variety of functions all look equally at home in Bonar Hall. It is often used as a venue for:

  • weddings
  • christenings
  • conferences
  • concerts
  • fashion shows
  • dinners
  • parties

Professional, experienced staff are on hand to give appropriate
advice to clients with many different requirements.
